Job Title: Junior Carpenter Apprentice

*End date: Friday 23rd July 2027

*The apprenticeship will span across two school years

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will already have a place or will be starting their Carpentry course this September 2025 at a local Tech College, like Barnet and Southgate College (who is our apprenticeship partner).
You will be expected to attend one day a week at college and four days on site.
Please note, when the business is busy, we may ask that you work some Bank Holidays and the occasional Saturday, but this is optional. Days worked will be paid or owed back in lieu.
Ideally the successful candidate is Barnet based as our team will be carpooling to jobs from time to time. You will need to have good access to TFL Buses/Trains if you do not drive.
Being able to drive is advantageous but not essential.
The successful candidate must have passed both GCSE Maths and English achieving at least a grade 4 and above.
Ideally you would have at least one job role under your work history on your CV to show you have had some experience in a work environment, but this is not essential.

Interview Process:

Once we have processed the CVs we will invite successful applicants to a video call. Video call interviews will take place between Wednesday 3rd-Friday 5th September. This is for us to get to know you, your work history and interest in Carpentry.
Second stage interviews which will be held in person, onsite of a local job will happen w/c Monday 8th September. This is to observe how you get along with the team and for you to ask questions. Depending on timings, we may try and observe you on a basic tool to see how you get on.
After second stage IV’s, and a discussion, the job will then be offered to the successful candidate by Friday 12th September 2025.
